"Having never sailed on a boat larger than a Hobie Cat, we got a thrill out of cranking the winches to unfurl what seemed like an acre of cloth ..."

General data:
The Ocean Star 495 is the answer to the needs of cruising of the nineties and into the Millennium. Her modern lines were designed with the intention to provide you with comfort and high performance.
The deck layout on the Ocean Star 495 offers extremely wide side decks, a teak covered deck and hatches prudently located to ensure easy and safe circulation on deck. Access ti the deck is possible through an innovative opening in the stern that leads to a totally uncluttered passage way to both cockpits. The dual cockpit configuration ensures comfortable cruising. The guest cockpit is well protected and offers space for 8 people around a standard table. The crew cockpit has two hi-tech steering positions and direct access to the winches.
The interior layout is designed and constructed with much care and skill. The cabins consist of 2 aft double cabins and 2 forward triple cabins (1 double bed with a single above) and 1 fore cabin for the skipper.. Each cabin has its own independent bathroom facilities.
